According to him, Adwoa Safo had contacted him and requested that they travel together. He said he had agreed and was preparing to join her, believing it would be a routine visit.
However, while making arrangements to board a pickup vehicle, he suddenly experienced severe stomach discomfort and decided to abandon the trip and return home.
He explained that the unexpected illness left him unable to continue the journey, forcing him to stay behind while his sister proceeded without him.

He stated that had he joined Adwoa Safo as originally planned, he could have found himself directly in harm’s way during the shooting.
