I Was Supposed To Be In That Car With Adwoa Safo, But A Sudden Stomach Upset Saved Me–Kwadwo Safo

According to a report by Ghbase News On Thursday June 25, 2026, Kwadwo Safo Junior has disclosed that a sudden stomach illness prevented him from accompanying his sister, former Dome-Kwabenya Member of Parliament Sarah Adwoa Safo, on the day she was injured during a shooting incident at their late father's residence in Kwabenya.

Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, June 25, Kwadwo Safo Junior recounted the events leading up to the incident, describing how an unexpected health problem changed his plans just moments before he was due to meet his sister.

According to him, Adwoa Safo had contacted him and requested that they travel together. He said he had agreed and was preparing to join her, believing it would be a routine visit.

However, while making arrangements to board a pickup vehicle, he suddenly experienced severe stomach discomfort and decided to abandon the trip and return home.

He explained that the unexpected illness left him unable to continue the journey, forcing him to stay behind while his sister proceeded without him.

Looking back on the events that followed, Kwadwo Safo Junior said he has often reflected on how narrowly he may have escaped being caught up in the violent confrontation.

He stated that had he joined Adwoa Safo as originally planned, he could have found himself directly in harm’s way during the shooting.

The businessman and son of the late Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka suggested that the outcome could have been devastating for both of them.

Kwadwo Safo Junior said the incident continues to weigh heavily on his mind, particularly when he considers how different the circumstances might have been had he ignored the illness and proceeded with the journey.

He remarked that he believes he and his sister could both have been struck by gunfire or that he might have been forced to witness her dying in his presence.

The comments come amid ongoing public attention surrounding the confrontation that reportedly occurred at the residence of the late founder of the Kantanka Group in Kwabenya.

The incident allegedly involved armed security personnel and resulted in injuries to Sarah Adwoa Safo, sparking widespread concern and calls for clarity regarding the circumstances that led to the violence.

The shooting has generated significant public discussion, with many demanding a thorough investigation into the events that unfolded at the property.

As questions continue to emerge, the account provided by Kwadwo Safo Junior adds a personal dimension to the unfolding controversy, highlighting how a seemingly ordinary change of plans may have spared him from becoming another victim of the incident.

Authorities are expected to continue examining the circumstances surrounding the confrontation as the family and the public seek answers about what transpired at the residence of the late Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka.
