Has He Resigned or Is He Waiting for a Revocation Letter? — Akosua Manu ‘Jabs’

Concerns have been raised by former Deputy Communications Director at the Office of the First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, and former Deputy Chief Executive of the Ghana National Youth Authority, Akosua Asaa Manu, regarding the academic credentials of Dr. Tanko Computer, CEO of GIFEC.

Their questions focus on whether the administration of President John Dramani Mahama has taken any steps to investigate or clarify allegations surrounding his claimed qualifications.

The issue gained attention following the dismissal of Anne Sansa Daly from the NHIA over concerns about her academic background. Dr. Computer, appointed in February 2025, has stated that he holds a PhD in Public Administration from Kingsnow University in the U.S., though doubts have emerged over the institution’s accreditation and credibility.

Opposition members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have also joined the conversation online, pointing to similar concerns involving other appointees within the current administration.

In several social media posts, Akosua Manu expressed strong criticism, accusing some officials of hypocrisy and questioning why individuals accused of questionable credentials continue to remain in office.

She asked whether Dr. Tanko Computer was still in post or had stepped aside amid the controversy, and challenged the legitimacy of his doctoral title, insisting that clarity should be provided regarding Kingsnow University’s authenticity.

Her remarks reflect growing political debate over accountability and verification of academic qualifications among public officials.

Dr. Tanko Computer has responded to these allegations in a Facebook post, asserting his credentials and addressing the claims made against him. He stated:
