Legal practitioner and anti-corruption campaigner Martin Kpebu has voiced strong fears about the NPP returning to power, claiming the party’s approach to bail would be so extreme it would “ask for Jesus Christ as bail.”

In a JB News Ghana update dated 4th June 2026, Martin Kpebu said: “I Am Afraid! If NPP Returns to Power Tomorrow, They Will Ask for Jesus Christ as Bail.” 

The comment, delivered with Martin Kpebu’s trademark bluntness, taps into ongoing public frustration over bail conditions and prosecutorial conduct under the previous NPP administration.
